Developed using only the very core Windows functionality (Windows 95 OSRB with Microsoft Office 97 SR2b), the ProSite Explorer_TM client installation does not add or over-write any DLLs on the target systems. Everyone has ODBC 3.0 and a few core Microsoft Office ‘common controls’. If not, then they are installed (and they are early versions and quite ubiquitous). Most systems are left completely unchanged by the install.

Creating robust installations is not ‘Black Magic’. It is simply a fairly difficult, time consuming process that requires a great deal of care, attention and testing. If you install software at random to your PC on a regular basis, then your machine will slow and will break. However there are good compatible applications out there that have been designed with care and expertise not to affect machines. ProSite Explorer_TM is one of them.
